In the spirit of the international aid effectiveness agenda, the EU is committed to better coordinate, align and harmonise its development assistance with that of its Member States and other like-minded donors. But how does this coordination look like at country level? And how might it benefit sexual and reproductive health and family planning (SRH/FP) in the EU’s bilateral, government-to-government, collaboration?
A Countdown 2030 Europe commissioned study, conducted during the Summer of 2018 sought to answer these questions. This factsheet presents the main findings of this study which analysed the coordination mechanisms used by European donors in three case study countries: Ethiopia, Burkina Faso and Zambia.
